I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Grubhub (New York, NY) in Feb 2020
Interview
I had a call with an internal recruiter who reached out to me to explore several different jobs that were open. Before even discussing which roles were open, I was prompted with product challenge questions to pick at how I would improve my current company if I was the CEO, which felt a bit odd to critique my leadership.
After chatting for 40 minutes, asking a few times for more details on the role I was 'interviewing' for, I was told the role was most likely going to an internal candidate, but they still wanted to move forward.
I've been a product manager for 7 years, but was told that a male on the team, who has my same title, would 'help me learn product at Grubhub.' I'm at a company currently that is the same size, and is doing just as well financially. It felt condescending.

Unprofessional and unimpressive. I found out during the panel interview (last step in the process) that they filled the position I interviewed for internally. So then they interviewed me for a different role for 3 hours.
