Interview
Thorough and laid back. There are lots of questions but all fairly regular and pretty simple. They have a few rounds and sometimes are a little slow on getting back to you.
I applied online. I interviewed at Grubhub (Greenville, SC) in Jan 2023
Interview
The interview was a bit of a let down. I was really excited about this opportunity, however, the interviewers did a poor job of advocating for their company. There were a lot of questions like "there are a lot of hustlers out there. Why would we hire you over the next person who can sell?" That's an okay question to ask, but when you don't necessarily need to make a career change, it comes off a little unbecoming. I left the interview without a clear sense of the company culture or team dynamics. I wanted to know what I could expect on a day-to-day basis working with this team. From what I gathered from the interviewers and their questions, there isn't a strong culture and it's more about why do you deserve to be there rather than a mutual conversation. That is a little bit of a turn off considering the base salary for this position is $32k and the OTE is $75k which is very low for a large company like this. A lot of the questions were "gotcha" questions.

Question 1
"Why should we hire you over the next person who hustles?" "What would you change about the dinning experience?"
It was very relaxed - asked me what I knew about Grubhub and how it worked and what changes I would make to the app. A lot of it was me asking questions about the position
