Hiring process had three rounds, starting with an on-campus interview, then a super day in the offices, then a case question with a presentation to the investment committee. The first interview was approximately an hour and included questions about my background in finance, interest in investing, and behavioral and fit questions. The super day had four separate interviews, including walking through a balance sheet, brainteasers, background, and behavioral. Be prepared to think on your feet -- they're looking for smart, nice, and driven people. The case involves taking an actual company and making a recommendation on whether to buy their debt - it's a lot of work, but they have an analyst help you, and it's a great way to test drive what you'll actually be doing on this job.
Overall, great interview experience - it feels like there's a real emphasis on seeing whether you will work hard and learn quickly rather than on your technical knowledge. (I came in with close to no specific or technical knowledge of the financial sector, and actually walked out of the interview process excited about the amount that I would be learning in the next few years.) Very fast response times - I was called back within twenty-four hours of all of my interview to let me know about the next round. Everyone I met was very friendly and open as well.
One important thing to note: Guggenheim commits a lot of resources to recruiting, and it wants to retain the people it hires. It's not a two year and out program, so if you make it to the case stage, make sure that you're actually excited about what you're doing and learning.
