I discovered Guidebook when searching for a job and became intrigued when I reviewed the company. I applied directly through their website and got an email within the next couple days from the recruiter asking to schedule a phone screen. It was a standard call with HR to discuss my experience and what I am looking for. He explained what they were looking for and that the hiring managers were all in California and this position would be based in Raleigh. Within a few days after the initial call the recruiter set up a second interview with a hiring manager. It was very similar to my call with HR, but a little more in depth about my experience. It was a quick interview (30 minutes) and I was told the recruiter would reach out to me. I heard back from the recruiter the following week that he wanted me to talk to another hiring manager. So I did my third interview, 30 minutes again, with a hiring manager in California. It took a little longer to get feedback from this interview and when I did, it was an automated email saying they were going with other candidates. I was pretty annoyed that the recruiter who had been in contact with me the entire time did not even email me himself. The hiring managers did not sound very enthusiastic on the phone and didn't try to sell me on the company at all. They were very short and too the point. It seems like they try to hype up their culture with animated videos, but in reality I didn't get that vibe when I talked with the managers.
