I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Guidehouse (Remote) in Nov 2022
Interview
first round is a 30 min behavioral interview. I didn't hear from them for a month, and then was invited to a final round consisting of a 30 min case followed by 2 more 30 min behavioral interviews, all back to back. My interviewers were lovely and I enjoyed those conversations. However, the overall experience with the talent acquisition team was VERY unprofessional. I let Guidehouse know that I had a competing offer and would need a decision by a certain date. They gave me their decision a few hours past that deadline, and emailed me on a Friday to let me know that they would be extending me an offer that following Monday. On Monday morning, I received an email informing me that my offer has been rescinded upon further review of budgetary and departmental needs. I also applied for their summer internship the prior year. I was invited to a final round and asked for my availability. I supplied several windows of availability, never to hear from them again. Overall, the process felt very disorganized and inconsiderate of candidates.

Question 1
What is a difficult project that you feel you absolutely nailed?
1 recruiter round and 3 rounds of actual interview. final round was with a partner. accepted the offer but still waiting on a public trust clearance over a month later. little to no communication from the recruiter about where i am at in the clearance process.
Painless. Comparable to other consulting firms. Includes cases, behavioral, and conversion with different level. Final interview in person sometimes depending on the office and position. The interview process was pretty quick in length. 3-4 rounds of interviews can be expected
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Guidehouse (Virginia Beach, VA) in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview process was a seamless and well-organized experience, creating a sense of confidence and clarity from the very beginning. Each stage flowed naturally into the next, with prompt communication and clear expectations at every step. Unlike experiences I have had with other companies, where I was often left waiting without updates or uncertain about the next steps, this process was thoughtfully structured and considerate of my time. From the initial application to the final round of interviews, I always knew where I stood and felt respected as a candidate.
