I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at H E B (The Woodlands, TX) in Jun 2012
Interview
The online application system was great, after filling out one application you can submit that application to any additional stores/positions for up to 5 per day. I was called about 2 days later to come in for a group interview with about 25 other people and a panel of 4 interviewers, however the main interviewer himself showed up 20 minutes late. We were given colored paper, stickers, markers, and pipe clean and were told to construct our Resume in about 15 minutes. We all then took turns standing up and presented our Resume to the other applicants and to the interviewers. They then went around the room and asked us each two question (everyone got the same two). The entire interview took one and a half hours. I was called back the next day to come to a 1 on 1 interview, which played out like a regular interview with nothing special. I received the job offer 2 days later, but turned it down due to an offer from Marriott Resorts that had better pay (Bell Boy).

Tell us about a time where you provided over-the-top customer service.
Basic questions . Just trying to see if you fit I. With them. Pretty easy. Not too hard if you can answer . It was that and a lot of situations and scenarios that they asked about
It was an online format. Personal video recording responding to basic interview prompts. There was also a small competency examination to test for basic math and reading skills as well as some personality questions.

Question 1
They asked about a time when you had to interact with a disgruntled customer
The interview process was pretty straightforward, I got in on a staffing agency that was hiring to fill positions for a new store opening. I had a group interview, then a one on one interview and was offered a position.
