Interview
I applied online through HEB Careers. I received a call a few days later asking me to come in for an interview. I was not informed it would be a group interview until I arrived at the store. Myself and 4 others were interviewed by the front end manager, unit director, and a manager from a different department. We were all asked to introduce ourselves and say why we wanted to work at HEB, and then were asked to examine the grocery items underneath our chair and attempt to sell them to the interviewers in a roleplay situation. Then, we were given hypothetical roleplay scenarios on pieces of paper in which we had to deal with an upset customer and attempt to act out the situation with an interviewer. Then the interviewers left the room to deliberate, and afterward, those of us selected to move forward with the hiring process were given the necessary information.

Interview
The process is simple enough, its mostly a lot of STAR based questions. And the digital interview is basically the same as the in person. The questions most of the time will be identical, if not extremely similar.

It was easy and straightforward. I received a call back days later and went in for an interview. The manager was very engaged and felt like a conversation. I was called a week later to being my onboarding process.
