The interview process was very thorough and H.G. Fenton did a great job of keeping me updated with next steps. It started with a phone screen which was then followed by a personality/wonderlic test. We then set up an in-person where I got to meet some recruiters and two group interviews with some of the team. Everyone was so nice, welcoming, and encouraging. It really helped keep me motivated and I knew this was a team I wanted to be a part of. Kristy and Taylor do a great job of providing updates and helping with any questions I might have had along the way.

Interviewed for the Property Accountant position and first step was a Skype interview with the Amber and Ben because I was located in the Bay Area. Interview lasted a little more than 30minutes and enjoyed speaking with them throughout the whole interview. They knew what candidate they wanted and were very thorough in their questions. After a day or two, Kristy had reached back out and wanted me to come in for an in person with the rest of the team. They offered to pay for all my expenses during the trip and also paid for my airfare which was awesome and generous. They even offered to pay for my hotel but since I had family to stay with I declined. Taylor and Kristy certainly treated me as if I were already part of the team and were very welcoming and accommodating. Once I arrived for the in person, I was welcomed by Milton and he was very thorough in explaining the background of the company. He was a joy to speak with and was also interested in my background. Taylor then showed me around the office space and she went into further details about the operations and different departments. First interview was with the Accounting and Development team. The whole accounting team was very friendly and were very engaged during the interview and asked great questions that pertained to the position. Second interview was with the development team which consisted of the PM, Director and Admin Assistant. They were very knowledgeable in the industry and was impressed with forward thinking on their future plans and learned more about the plans of the company. Last part of the interview was a quick chat with Amber and Ben and they asked how the interviews went. Overall, I believe the interview process was amazing! It was pretty grueling, two panel interviews lasting over 2hrs but was worth the time because I got to meet some knowledgeable people in the industry and learned a lot about their company. The teams certainly knew what questions to ask and knew what candidate they wanted. Only negative I can see is that I didn’t get offered the position and that they decided to go with a candidate that had more experience even if they were aware of my years of experience. I believe I should have been filtered out if they were looking for someone with more experience. Kristy again reached out and asked if I would be included in the talent community if ever a position opened up and I happily agreed. Would love to be part of this company in the future!
