H&M Group interview questions

I have Russian citizenship but have been living in Europe for a very long time. Since the position for a Data Scientist was open, I decided that this was a great opportunity for me. I know that H&M is a very diverse company, so I decided to apply. I knew so little about them... During the initial interview, I received very few questions, so I decided to proceed by describing my background and experience. As we reached the end of the meeting, I was asked about my origin. When the recruiter learned this, she immediately said that they do not hire people from Russia, no matter in which country they are based. I was very much offended by that, since I was judged not by my experience but by my place of birth, and I never got a chance to choose the country where I would be born. After a week, I received a rejection. I would understand this for a startup or some small to mid-size company. But I couldn't imagine this happening at a company that talks so much about diversity and inclusion.

First I applied through easy apply on Linkedin. Based on screening my CV, they sent assesment test. The process was smooth. The questions were not hard or unexpected. The person interviewed me was nice and informative.
