I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at H&M in Dec 2013
Interview
I got this interview through a job agency. I met them at a job fair for another company I was interviewing for. They were screening people for the company. If you didn't pass the screening you didn't get to go on and interview with the actual hiring managers. I passed the screening and was asked if I was also interested in being interviewed for H&M. I of course said yes and set up the interview. Anyway I arrived at the interview and it ended up being a group interview with over 10 other people. They of course went around the room and asked us to introduce ourselves. They also asked us basic customer service/retail questions. There was only one question that threw me off guard, "Who is your favorite character from Disney". That was the first question. I thought it was so silly. Anyway, everyone got a chance to speak. I was very nervous considering this was my first time interviewing with this many people but it wasn't so bad.
We were then told to give them our information so they can run a background check and had to hand in a copy of our resume. Since all of us got this interview through the job agency from another job fair, we all had to also submit a formal application online. They took notes throughout the interview and said they would use their notes to determine if we were qualified or not. If they did they'd pull from the online applications that we had to submit and give us a call.

I applied online. I interviewed at H&M (Dundalk) in Mar 2026
Interview
It was lovely, very interactive. Getting to meet new people, seeing the H&M store was really nice. The supervisor was really professional and warm. First we got to know each other, then did a question and answers round with everyone, situation based, customer service based, questions to display your skills etc, talking about H&M values and then we had a group task, to come with a outfit based on the provided situation.
