Interview
Was contacted by a recruiter, setup an intro call with someone from the team, then was moved on to a call with the CPO/CRO, then went in for an in-person interview at their office which lasted several hours where I met with senior people from various teams, then came back for a final interview with the company President, and was soon thereafter extended an offer.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at H1 (New York, NY) in Nov 2021
Interview
1. Pre screen Zoom audio call with the recruiter - Mackenzie was very friendly and warm. She asked about my work experience and gave a thorough explanation of what H1 does and the culture there. She scheduled a meeting with the hiring manager and provided me with links to articles regarding H1.
2. Zoom video call with hiring manager - Hiring Manager was engaging and friendly. She asked about my work experience and provided her vision for the role and the dept. She took the time to answer all my questions.
That same day, Mackenzie followed up to see how the interview went and shortly thereafter, she informed me that I was moving on to the next round. Again she scheduled the meetings, provided additional articles about H1 and also gave me a suggestion on what type of questions to ask my interviewer which was super helpful.
3. Zoom video call with two members of the hiring manager's dept - the two members I interviewed with were personable and knowledgeable about H1 and the areas they managed. I had a very informative conversation with both. Someone from the talent team followed up to see how the interviews went and Mackenzie contacted me to provide feedback.
Although outcome was not what I was hoping for, overall my experience was positive.
