Interview
For quality/technical roles not based in Germany, there will be a phone interview process with experts in Germany, followed eventually by a traditional sit down interview if they think you have the skills/experience. The face to face interview is difficult, they'll pile on the pressure and look for the cracks.
A word to the wise......
When speaking to German engineers, it's always ALWAYS good to be completely honest, they're the complete opposite to speaking with UK based management or HR staff, as they'll see straight through any nonsense, lies or self promoting. If you don't have the knowledge/experience to back up your big words, then you'll end up looking very silly indeed.
