I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at HSBC (Buffalo, NY) in Nov 2007
Interview
I had a phone interview for the new IT project they are working on. Received the call (not exactly at the appointed time) and after exchanging greetings, was asked in depth about the processes required to implement the product. The discussion was deep and appropriate to the topic. Interview was done by three persons. No personal interview was required after the telecon (I was the only one without personal discussion). They offered to choose one position out of three available which I did. Working conditions average.
It was good, and the people were friendly. The interview process was easy and fun. They had psychometeric tests and other various stages had to be done. If you have access to sample psychometric tests, take advantage of that. Many online resources offer practice tests for verbal, numerical, and logical reasoning.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at HSBC in Mar 2023
Interview
Questions based on work experience , also since the role was technical I was asked questions on python and SQL and data analytics processes , Machine Learning and deep learning
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HSBC
Interview
2 stage interview process including case study and competency questions. Met the head of the team initially followed by a case study interview with two directors. Generally fair questions and progressed through the rounds quickly.
However from then onwards the process was a debacle. I received a verbal offer only for it to be pulled 3 months later prior to receiving a written contract as they are undertaking a review of all roles within the team. I was not given any clarity during these 3 months with the hiring manager seemingly helpless to progress the process. I was also told there were a number of other candidates in the same position. It was embarrassingly inefficient and dysfunctional and I would not recommend this team or role to anyone who is thinking of applying.
