This just seemed liked a company that was very confused and also looking for a lot of free work from its applicants. They wanted a full day worth of detailed, documented design assets — always a red flag! — and overall it just seemed that was their main goal in the process. Communication was strange, with the manager almost seeming angry that I chose not to supply completely implementation-ready assets.
