      Interview

I was interviewed and The company had a very well-organized and quick interview process, making it easy to move forward confidently. It began with an HR screening round, a hiring manager round, a technical interview, and a challenge round. The good thing was to schedule the interview as per your flexibility from the provided time frame.

      Technical Engagement Manager Interview

      Jul 8, 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Stroud, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HackerOne (Stroud, England) in Mar 2022

      Interview

I will preface this by mentioning that I was referred in by someone that I used to work with, however after reading some of the other interview structures on Glassdoor it doesn't seem that this changed my interview process. 1. Filled in an application and contacted by the recruitment team to set up an initial call with a recruiter. 2. High level call with senior recruiter, less role specific and more about cultural fit, salary expectations, etc. Expected, as any good company fields potential recruits to see if they should be taken forward. This call was pleasant within working hours. 3. Second call was with my future LM. A nice blend of role specific questioning, as well as general questioning to understand personality and cultural fit. This is the interview where I got a good understanding of the role, and knew it was a good fit for me. Very open to questions, and even stayed on longer than booked which was much appreciated! Again, this was a pleasant call within working hours. 4. Third call was with a member of the team I would be joining. I felt it was a good opportunity to see what my peers would be like, and to ask what they really like and dislike about the role. This also corroborated a lot of the information given to me by the LM, and confirmed my feelings about the role and company. As per previous calls, it was enjoyable and within working hours. 5. The final call was with the director of my team. This was the most energising call, and I found it impressive that a director was this involved in hiring. I was particularly impressed by their understanding of cyber security, ranging from fundamentals, culture, industry trends, and operations. The conversation was very engaging! This was the only call that was rescheduled, understandably due to illness. It was the only call outside of working hours, due to timezone differences, but this wasn't an issue. I was made an offer above expectation, for a more senior grade than I anticipated. Great experience.
