      Applied Fluids Optimization Specialist Interview

      Aug 10, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Lafayette, LA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Halliburton (Lafayette, LA) in Nov 2012

      Interview

Quick phone interview followed by an in person interview. Halliburton has a policy of having at least two or more people giving the interview at one time...not a fan. After the interview the process of paperwork and background check took quite a while, 3 months to be exact.

      Interview questions [3]

      Question 1

General knowledge questions of drilling and rig activity, nothing to hard but things you may not know unless you have been in drilling for a few years. They mainly want to know if you can determine what the rig may be doing solely by looking at real-time data and what increases and decreases in the data means. "If the rig activity is (on bottom drilling ahead) but the rotary RPM's read zero, what could be going on?
      Answer question

      Question 2

If the rig activity is (on bottom drilling ahead) but the rotary RPM's read zero, what could be going on?

      Question 3

What would sharp or gradual to sharp increase in PWD ECD signify?
