I applied in-person. I interviewed at Hallmark (Honolulu, HI) in Jun 2012
Interview
It was really fast. There was a sheet of questions that she asked. She chose 6 questions from that sheet. Interviewee was very nice and friendly. She didn't seem intimidating like others that just stare at you when they are interviewing you. Then from my answers she had followup questions. After my interview she had me do a questionnaire which actually took longer than the interview because it really makes you think. That questionnaire is used to see what your strengths and weaknesses are. And then based on that and the answers to the interview, they decide if you're a good fit for the job. Got a call that I got hired in 2 days.
It was super chill. It was with my hiring supervisor and was very basic interview questions. Then she gave a lot of information about the role and expectations and how crazy Christmas hets
Interview involved getting to know me, what experience do I have related to customer service and how do I deal with different situations. It was easy and pretty straight-forward. Great chat.
Very friendly. Small office within the store. Asked about how I'd handle various guests in the store with different needs or emotional states. Got to meet different employees as they passed through.
