      Editor Interview

      Mar 16, 2011
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Kansas City, MO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hallmark (Kansas City, MO) in Oct 2010

      Interview

Applied on company website. 45 minute phone interview with HR. Long day of interviews from 10AM-4PM with 10 different people (a mix of good cop-bad cop exchanges) plus lunch in the company cafeteria with prospective co-worker. Hallmark prides itself on "creativity" but the environment feels pretty staid. I've been told they don't welcome people who come in with new ideas. They're looking for people who come in and adapt to the Hallmark way of doing things. Toward the end of the day one senior manager told me that if I didn't get an offer, and there was a chance I wouldn't get an offer, it'd be because people were intimidated by my qualifications. I didn't get an offer. Who knows why. But I did hear that they gave the position to someone with 3 years experience.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hallmark (Kansas City, MO)

      Interview

I had a 30 minute phone interview with a very nice recruiter. I was contacted the same day and told that I was selected for a follow-up interview. This follow-up interview was in-person and two hours long, including a proof reading test and a tour. I met with many different team members. Again, I received a call about the job process that same day and was extended an offer.
