An absurdly long process that was plagued with shifting schedules, poor technology, and lack of prompt feedback. The process took 93 days from application to final decision, but there were periods of inactivity in between. I felt that HSB was opaque, non-responsive and rather haphazard in their approach.
Day 0: Applied online.
Day 8: Discussion with recruiter scheduled.
Day 12: Brief discussion with recruiter over the phone.
Day 20: Discussion with hiring manager scheduled.
Day 23: 30 minute phone call with hiring manager, miscommunication about the schedule - I received an invite for a 60 minute call, but the hiring manager assumed we had only 30.
Day 29: Feedback on discussion with hiring manager, all signs positive, and in-person interview tentatively scheduled.
Day 36: In person interview postponed by three weeks by HSB.
Day 44: In person interview is peculiarly replaced with a full panel skype video interview.
Day 55: Skype interview, with the whole process plagued with technology failures, poor audio and non-functional video.
Day 70: Due to inactivity, I request feedback from recruiter who informs me that a decision on whom to invite for an in-person interview would be made before the end of the next week.
Day 80: End of the following week, no response received. I had by this junction accepted a different offer.
Day 93: Automated message stating that I had not been selected is received.
