Extremely unprofessional recruitment process and very rude behavior towards me after rejection.
I was invited for the interview by the recruiter for the R&D and Innovation position. The interview was postponed several times, and each time I was informed about the postponement at the last minute. On the interview date, the interviewers arrived about 30 minutes late at the interview room.
At the end of the interview, I was told that I would be notified about the result in approximately 10 days, either the result would be positive or negative. 10 days later, I realized that the result was negative when I noticed that I was secretly blocked from their system. This is a very rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional way to notify the candidate about the result of the interview and it harms the brand image, the prestige and the reputation of HAVELSAN, which is indeed one of the largest and the most reputable companies in the defense sector in Turkey.
I wasn't notified about the result. Then, I sent an e-mail and I received a reply 1 week later. In the reply e-mail, they said they had interviewed with other candidates and they were currently continuing with another candidate.
Before the interview, I was never informed about the job title and the job description. I don't have to ask anything about that and it is not my responsibility, because every job posting I have ever seen gives the job title and the brief job description. Also, I was never informed about the existence of other candidates, which was mentioned in all my previous job interviews. I must have been told during the interview that there were several other candidates.
I respect their decision, but I was given wrong and missing information about the job and the recruitment process, and the recruitment process ended in a disrespectful way. Despite the fact that I'm much more qualified than many people currently working at HAVELSAN and HAVELSAN is one of the top companies for an engineer in Turkey, I will never consider any job opportunity at this company in my future career.
