I applied online and quickly received an email asking me to complete some online testing, which consisted of a personality evaluation and a logic test. They then had me come in and complete more testing: a longer logic test and an Excel exam where I had two chances to complete various tasks using the proper clicks and keystrokes. I filled out a paper application and then went in for a face to face interview with someone in the department I was applying for. He asked some of the standard interview questions, gave me some details on the position, and grilled me on my resume. After that we did a role playing exercise. That's where things went downhill. My interviewer asked a lot of open ended questions and antagonized me when I gave responses that didn't align with the exact one he wanted. Granted, I was applying with less experience than the job posting asked for, but I don't think anyone would have gotten the "right" answers without having worked in this exact position at this exact company. He seemed to be taking great pleasure in insulting my engineering ability, going so far as to question the legitimacy of my EIT license. It was a complete power trip. I came close to walking out towards the end of this 2+ hour interview, and left knowing that I wouldn't be moving forward, which was later confirmed via email.
