      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hawaiian Airlines (Honolulu, HI) in May 2016

      Interview

Had two phone interviews, first HR screen, second with engr manager. Third they had me fly over for a in person interview. The in person interview met with HR to do quick introduction, then direct manager, discussed the position and my job experience. Gave a tour of facility. Finally met with the Director of the Dept, asked about my work experience and how I would be a good fit in the island culture. (wanted to make sure I would stay for a while) he answered any final question I had. Left saying they would contact me, contacted the hiring manger after two weeks to check in. HR sent an offer the same day. Pay was never discussed Once offer and benefits package was received, the offer was less than I was currently making so decided to decline, based on income tax, less vacation, cost of living. I really liked the job but could not justify it based on offer.
