Was reached out to through linked in by a recruiter. The recruiter called me to explain the opportunity more to me. Then had a code signal interview with an engineer a few days later. Me and the python DateTime library have beef so I botched the interview. But everyone was really nice throughout the process.
The only thing that made me uncomfortable was when I learned about the onsite interview. I never made it to this round, but one of the interviews of the onsite session asks you to draw and explain a project you've lead in detail (must be from the past 2 years). You're expected to draw the architecture in a diagram. I wasn't comfortable with this considering Ive only worked on projects through my work over the past 2 years and Ive explicitly signed agreements saying I wouldn't share my work with outside sources. I was confused of the purpose of this considering there is also a separate system design interview as part of their onsite process.

Standard algorithm and data structures interview, over Karat. Medium difficulty level, make sure communication is solid and that you finish the problem. Sys design at the beginning, very brief high-level overview.
Interviewers beware, prepare to be strung along and duped at the last moment. I was told I passed all my interviews with strong feedback, passed all my reference checks (which, what company asks for real reference checks in this day and age), had multiple meetings with managers for team placement, and even had a call scheduled with my recruiter to go over offer details. And then lo and behold the morning of she cancels the call with little warning and then doesn’t give me any update until I reach out first. And she then proceeds to tell me apparently leadership does not have full confidence in my “full picture” and they will not actually be giving me an offer. So be aware that you can do everything right and you won’t be told that you also have to pass some mysterious leadership vibe check or just blatantly lied to and the offer will never actually manifest. I wouldn’t be surprised if they actually decided to just go with an internal candidate or something.
