HealthcareSource Associate Product Manager interview questions

I found the posting via Indeed, applied and was contacted (fairly quickly) by the recruiter. The position I applied for wasn't in the headquarters location. At the time I was applying to many positions at many different companies. Most often, I never heard a response from the company at all. But with HealthcareSource, I ended up speaking with the recruiter fairly often. She would answer (and return!) my calls, explain where I was in the process, and make sure I had what I needed (access, URLs, etc) for me to move my candidacy forward as quickly as possible. THE PROCESS Applied around November 5th. After the initial hiring manager resume screening, I did a recorded video interview where I was recorded answering about 5 different questions. Some people may not have liked this, but I've been in the industry and I was thrilled to take part in a revolutionary way to streamline the recruiting process. I then had a 1:1 in-person interview with the Hiring Manager. Then a phone interview with a hiring manager peer. Then came back in to have a few more 1:1 interviews with the Director of Engineering and another Product Manager Manager. I also had a 'mock grooming' session where I led a team through feature scoping (of a fictitious product and feature that I made up). It was fun! Having recently been in a company where I felt very out of place, being able to get to know the engineers that I would potentially be working with was very important to me. I've been on many sides of recruiting (including recruiting process best practice consulting) and HealthcareSource (in my opinion) executed on all the things that 'should be done' to make the candidate feel valued.

The entire interview process was very quick and professional. An internal recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn for a phone interview which was set up the morning of the interview (my choice). After the phone interview, I was sent a video interview which asked about 5 questions that was able to take on my own time which was nice, I dislike having to go into an office on several occasions to meet with only a few people each time. 3 days after I submitted the video questions, I got a call from the recruiter to come into the office. I went in on two separate occasions. The first time was a Friday and I had several one-on-one interviews with people that I would be working with. I heard back from them the following Monday to come in for a second interview where I met the team I would potentially be working with, held a grooming session, met with some other people I would work closely with and went to lunch with the team. Despite it being a long day, I did not feel that my time was being wasted. Every interview was engaging and I felt that I got a good feeling of the inclusive, team oriented culture that HCS prides itself on. After my second interview, the recruiter contacted me every couple days to let me know where they were in the decision making process. About 5 days later, I got an offer from the hiring manager who personally called me to give me a verbal offer. The position was a career change and the hiring manager was so kind and understanding that making a career change can be intimidating and to take time to think about it. I knew that I didn't need time because the time I had already spent in the office with my potential coworkers and the support I was already receiving from the hiring manager proved to me that it was going to be a great career move and place to work. I accepted the offer. At the time, I was interviewing a lot. HealthcareSource was so responsive and respected that I had a full time job, they did their best to set up interviews around my schedule. I didn't feel like any of my time was wasted meeting with people i would not be working with. All of the people I met with, I work directly with everyday. After 8 months, I am still very happy about my decision to make a career change and join the HealthcareSource team.
