I thought the process was going well at first. I interviewed with a recruiter, who told me I would be passed along to the corporate recruiter to schedule with the hiring manager. I then had a second-round interview with the corporate recruited, followed by a very quickly scheduled interview with the hiring manager. That interview went fantastic, but I was told they were in final stages with another “strong candidate” who was working on their case study.
I was invited to begin the case study but encouraged to “wait” until they knew more about the other candidate. Two weeks later, I was contacted to complete the case study. I spent around nine hours on it and submitted it a day early. After submitting, I received no feedback or confirmation. When I followed up two weeks later, I was told they never received my case study — something I found surprising since I was told I was a strong candidate and would be a great addition to the team. I resent it, confirmed they received it this time, but I’ve now been left without any further communication - 2 weeks later.
Overall, I’m very disappointed in how the process ended. I was genuinely excited about the opportunity to join the team, but the lack of communication and follow-up left a negative impression.
