applied for two positions at different times. The first time I was contacted by the hiring manager and told the position I applied for was no longer available, but I could be interested in a different position. I was then invited to take part in a weird exercise for which I had the feeling it was an excuse to do brainpicking without paying for my consultancy (I know many people do)... In fact after the exercise I was told by the manager that she was going on holidays but they would def get in touch.. Which nobody did...
Untamed when the role of the Director (which was the hiring manager during my first interview) actually got available I have applied for that and thought I'd give it a second chance. I had the weirdest interview, with the recruiter mentioning in the email she would like to interview me for the director position and instead asking a lot of questions about the manager position I applied before (yes, the one that was "closed"). Super confusing.
I have decided to give them another opportunity given that the Director's job description was perfect for my skillset and expertise, so wrote to the recruiter suggesting the interview to focus on the actual job I have applied for, but in the end received an automated mail saying they cut me out.
I did not have the opportunity to move forward but have seen enough to understand it is not the right working environment for me.
