Had an initial phone call, then was asked to complete an assignment and attend a second interview. The second interview was onsite where I presented my assignment and then I was asked to come in for a final interview.
First two interviewe it was really friendly and very conversational and through those discussions got to know more about the company and the role. The final interview was the hardest, it was a lot of behavioural questions asked one after another and not much of a conversation or opportunity to ask organic questions. Questions felt forced and generic.
I received a personalised email (not just from HR scheduling the meeting) inbetween the second and third interviews saying I would make a great addition to the team and they were looking forward to the final interview with me. After which, I waited over a week to hear a decision and received an email simply stating that they enjoyed meeting with me but "could not continue in the particular process" with me.
I would have expected something more along the lines of "you have been unsuccessful in this instance" as the former suggests to me that something else was going on...
I followed up and asked for feedback but didn't get a response which was really dissapointing after investing so much time into the process and receving really positive feedback.
