I applied to the job after reviewing it on Linkedin and noticing it had been reposted. I strongly matched the requirements but would say I was a good but not great candidate. I was outreached by a recruiter within a few days to confirm some eligibility info since due to the foundations connection to the government. After confirming my eligibility I was scheduled for a phone screening. This was 10 minutes and consisted of the usual questions for a screening, a confirmation of the job requirements and role, confirmation of salary, and confirmation of my interest. I was asked about my background, experience, and particularly experience in clinical modalities and training/presentations. After this screening a few days later I was contacted about scheduling a interview with the two directors of the program via a video call. This was a 1 hour call and was conversational and consisted of typical interview questions, both directors were nice and I enjoyed talking to them. This was my first interview in more than 5 years and admittedly while I did prepare for it, my preparation could've been more focused in better explaining why I was a good fit for this role and showcasing my past presentation and training experience which I completely missed doing during the interview. At the conclusion I was informed of what the next steps would be if selected which would be preparing a 45 minute presentation to give to employees of the foundation to evaluate my presentation ability as this was the main task for this role. I was told I could follow up with the directors with any questions if needed. The next day after the interview I emailed the two directors to thank them for their time but did not receive any response. Its since has been more than a month and I never heard back from the recruiter or anyone else regarding my application status, and recently saw the job was re-posted. While I didn't think I did that good on the interview and didn't expect to get the job, I was disappointed to be ghosted like this and found it extremely unprofessional, especially from a supposedly esteemed institution like this. Looking at the glassdoor reviews it seems this is common among applicants. As someone who was involved in the hiring process for clinicians in a major hospital system from initial screening to final interview and hiring decisions, I prided myself on keeping candidates updated on their status and view this as a major indicator of the health and well-being of a company work environment. Since this job has been open for several months now and the directors themselves admitted that they are trying to hiring multiple people to help the sole person currently working a similar role, I see this as a huge red flag and so would decline a job offer from this agency if I was given one.
