30 min phone screening, then a zoom panel interview with the team who would report to you, then an in-person interview. The panel was composed of 5 individuals who would report to the person taking this position, and it was very clear they were concerned about having a new level of management coming in. Each person asked 2 questions, but their questions were primarily focused on themselves, either to ask how I would manage them with their experience or they were broad, general inquires about anecdotal experience with students and other departments. When I did ask them about their workflow, they did all agree that they did work well over FT hours more often than not, and they don't have CRM system for their students, and use Google phone numbers, so there are areas where they are feeling growing pains. The VP was silent during this interview, only speaking to nudge each person to ask the next question. She was pleasant, but very soft spoken even in the phone screening. VP typically took at week to reply to emails and to send out meeting codes. However, no reply from her after the panel interview in weeks, but a courtesy letter would have been appropriate and appreciated.
