Hexcel's Casa Grande location created the summer internship program after inquiries from a number of ASU engineering students. It took some time for them to formalize the introductory process, but after looking over resumes candidates were notified over the phone who made it to the in-person interview phase. The interview was fairly standard, with a review of applicant's qualifications as well as open-ended short-answer questions on past or hypothetical situations. There was one HR representative and two Process Engineers present for the interview. Those selected were notified within 10 business days of the in-person interview whether they were selected for the program. I am unsure how many candidates were considered, but three students were selected for the 6-week summer internship. Two students were junior-level chemical engineering majors and one was a sophomore-level aerospace engineering major.
