I didn't check feedback on the company before entering the recruitment process and assumed with such a good Brand name they would be a great culture/company to work for.
I unfortunately didn't find this during my recruitment process. Although some of the many stages I went through were nice 'chats' I always felt the process lacked any real understanding of the role I had been approached for, and many of the interviewers lacked any experience of hiring generally, with some seeming to be unprepared for an interview at all.
I found the feedback lacking and very hot and cold with little insight, even answers to basic questions went unanswered.
I did get alarm bells when many of the senior team introduced themselves as 'friends of the Founders' rather than people that had relevant experience or experience generally to support my growth in the role.
My advice to candidates is talk to some current and past employees before entering the recruitment process, and check salary/package range as they seem very low compared to competitors/market etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
'Why do you want to work for Hibob' was the most common question asked at all stages.
Thank you for your review. We are sorry that this is the experience that you have had, as this isn’t reflective of the values & culture we have here at HiBob.
Our interview process reflects our belief that interviews are a 2 way process - you need to make sure we are the right fit is equally important as the other way round. Each interview stage and the people you meet all have a purpose and will involve a cross-section of teams that you would work with in the role you are interviewing for.
It is difficult for us to respond or understand how we can improve without more specifics of the role you have interviewed for. If you feel comfortable to, please send further context/details to: cohav.nir@hibob.io so we can investigate and get back to you
