I had two separate interviews with two of the 3 partners, and was being considered for 2 positions. Each interview was an hour long and after each interview I was told they would be in touch. A week after my second interview I sent a follow up and thank you email to one partner. He contacted me back to say they had not yet reached a decision and he'd be away on vacation the following week. He ensured me when he returned and reconvened with his fellow partners to make a decision he'd let me know either way. Over two months have passed and I've heard nothing. This process was obviously disorganized on their part. The lack of communication shows a complete disregard for a qualified applicant's time and energy. It is difficult to schedule interviews, especially hour long interviews, when you're currently employed.
