Went very well. Felt comfortable throughout the process. Just be friendly and do not appear too aggressive. Cover up your tattoos if you have any. If you are a man, no earring.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at High Point University (High Point, NC) in Oct 2024
Interview
Got shortlisted for the 30 min interview with chair and other faculty members of Engineering which went well. Asked questions about teaching and research experience. However, did not disclose compensation which I found a bit odd. Progressed to the next round for on-campus interview which would have comprised of more than 1.5 hour lecture on coursework and research+ meeting with Dean, Provost etc. Declined it as no pay transparency=waste of time and effort on my end (travel across the country, prep for lectures etc).
