I was called by the recruiter the day before my 2nd interview and told the person I was meeting in my 2nd interview (follow-up from a quick 20 min chat with the person) did not think I was a good fit. The next day the person I was meeting for my 2nd interview emailed me to find out if the schedules had been mixed up. I let the person know about the recruiter telling me I was not a candidate based on their feedback. I never received a response, an apology for the mix-up, or anything to my inquiries on if I had been confused with a different candidate. It was very odd since my first conversation had been so positive. They have a great mission, and I hope they work out communication channels to help them bring talent into their organization. If I had received a simple email apology - even with confirmation I was not a fit - I would have a 100% different view on the organization.
