First "interview" consisted of coming into the restaurant during business hours to meet w/ management. Dressed nicely in business attire, I arrived a few minutes early and informed hostess I was here to meet with management. After waiting a few minutes, I was then escorted to a table where a manager eventually came over, sat down, and proceeded with the "interview." They did not have my resume with them (nor did they ask for one), nothing to write notes on or with, nor any supporting documents with interview questions, etc. They asked me one question, provided absolutely no information about the job or company, and generally seemed distracted/annoyed and completely unengaged. I was then informed that this was the first round of five and that if they decided to move on in the process, that i would receive a call at which time would proceed with a second round phone interview. Then the interview was over and manager left leaving me to make my way out of the restaurant. I would say whole interview was over in 5-10 minutes. While not directly stated, I inferred that if not selected, you would not be informed and should just assume you weren't selected. This whole "interview" just seemed like a blatant sham, really just using it as a way to visually see if applicants meet their criteria. What criteria that is, I'm not sure. Based on my experience, I can only assume it is based on some kind of bias or discriminatory guidelines (age, sex, race, etc.). All came across as disrespectful, discriminatory, and complete waste of time. If going to go through the theatrics of such a thing, do a better job of it.
