I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hillstone Restaurant Group (Hackensack, NJ) in Feb 2011
Interview
I walked in on a tuesday afternoon and asked if they were hiring. They had me fill out a detailed application. My first interview was with one of the assistant managers that same day. He was very friendly and upbeat. Then I had to come back the next day and take a personality test and an IQ test. After passing them, I was asked to come back two days later to interview with a different manager. He was also very pleasant, and at the conclusion of that interview I was asked back for a third interview with the general manager. She was very nice and at the conclusion of that interview she informed me that pending a background check, she would like to unofficially offer me employment. She said they would call me that day or the next day as soon as my background check came back. A full 7 days later they called me and offered me a job.
