I interviewed at Hilton Grand Vacations (Orlando, FL)
Interview
After applying for the position, I was invited to complete a video interview. It was an on-demand web/video interview with limited attempts to rerecord answers. I spent a few hours completing (had technical issues, and I am tech-savvy). I ultimately did not hear back from an actual person; I received an auto-generated "not selected for the position" HGV careers email.

I applied online. I interviewed at Hilton Grand Vacations in Feb 2025
Interview
I got an email 5 minutes after I put in my resume to record an interview. Obviously they are using AI. I got the email Tuesday morning, and it said that I could record it at my own pace. I have done these before and companies give you 72-120 hours to submit the recordings. I waited 48 hours because work and life were busy. When I clicked the link to start the recording the page it took me to told me that it was expired and to contact HR. Keep in mind that the email gave you timeframe to complete it. So, I emailed HR and told them what happened, why I waited 48 hours, and if they could reactivate my link. I got crickets back. Literally, the next day on Friday I got an email saying that I was no longer in consideration for the position, that they are moving forward with other candidates.
Based on my experience, it shows me that this isn't a well run organization. They don't put any thought or care into who they hire. You are just a number or a cog that they are considering putting in their machine. It speaks highly to their unprofessionalism by rescinding their initial email to record an interview, and that they don't even follow industry best practices. It certainly doesn't seem like they foster an environment where they care about the people they interview which is a reflection of how they probably treat their employees. I am a member of Hilton Honors and this experience has given me a bad taste in my mouth to Hilton in general. I travel a lot for soccer and I am going to make it a point to no longer stay in Hilton brand hotels. It will be my second choice if I can't find a could Marriott property.
