There was 6 or 7 attendees in my interview. They represented many differing departments as they had multiple openings so they were competing for placement. This is pretty typical at times.. At other times there may be only 3 or 4 people in the interview but usually not less than that.

Simple, they focus on previous projects to see if the candite has the experience necessary. There are two phases. In general they want the candidates that get to the interview step.
Senior Manager called for interview. The interview took almost one hour. Then HR called for salary and negotiation. They sent appointment letter one week after interview. You need to reply within 1 week.
There were three steps. First one is with HR, 2nd one is with team manager, 3rd one with Department Head. I had to describe my work in grad school. NOt very difficult process.
