I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Grand Forks, ND) in Sep 2013
Interview
I went in when the store was still being set up. I was first asked to fill up the application form, and was given a basic math test. Once that was done, I was interviewed right there. The manager asked me about myself, my previous employment experience, and explained to me the job, and the pay. He asked me if that was something I was going to be interested in, and when I said yes, he asked me some questions that were in a packet, and wrote my answers down. He hired me right away. They usually hire people right away, but if they are hiring multiple people and interviewing a few people, they will tell you that they will call you in a couple of days.
Very easy interview, they asked me the typical questions about my past experience, how I have demonstrated leadership in the past, why I wanted to join the company, my salary expectations, etc.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Temecula, CA) in Sep 2024
Interview
The most unprofessional interview I have ever had! The hiring manager made me wait over a half hour. Don't schedule an interview at the time scheduled if you cannot be on time! She made eye contact with me once during the entire interview. She also answered her text messages and responded to her walkie during the interview. I'm not even sure how she is a manager; extremely unprofessional!

Interview
Easy to find where I needed to go. It was a little discouraging to not see eye to eye though on scheduling ebe though I was upfront on my schedule. It seemed like I was being asked to work more than I was looking for.
