I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Tucson, AZ) in Aug 2015
Interview
When I went to drop off my application, I asked for the manager, shook his hand, and gave it to him personally. I was called in for an interview a week or so later. This interview went relatively well but took about an hour because they require you to do math. If you pass the math portion and the assistant manager thinks you'll be an okay candidate, you go on to phase three. Phase three of the interview process includes another interview. This interview is with the official store manager and goes by a little faster than the previous one. I was hired about a week after the last interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Math questions, personal questions, work experience, etc.
Applied online, received a call 15 minutes later for an interview. Met with the store manager the next day for 30 minutes. Basically reviewed my resume, took a math quiz that consisted of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division & percentages. Once I passed the test, I was offered the job & given my vest with name tag. I showed up the next day for orientation. Very simple.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby in Oct 2023
Interview
Super basic questions, like why do you want to work at HL, have you ever delt with upset or difficult customers, etc. If they offer an interview, it seems they are ready to offer you a position and the interview is just to make sure there are no legitimate reasons why it wouldn't be a good fit
(either for you or for the company) Honestly, it's one of the easiest interviews you'll ever have.
I applied online. I then got a phone call to come in for an interview. Did the interview in person with the store manager. Received a call back that I got the job.
