Very sloppy on Horizon Hobby side. A recruiter called me and asked how much I was asking for.
During the interview in front of two people they asked the same question. How did they not communicate this? I have never seen this before in front of the actual Engineers. Then they asked me if I would take 20-30% less? Pretty much a junior engineer salary.
They asked me some stuff on my resume. I answered. Then when I asked them some questions, they said they were new at Horizon and couldn't really answer. First questions they answered they were "new employees". About two more questions in and they said, "time to go home, it's 4 o' clock" and hung up. It was scheduled for 3:30 - 4:15. They couldn't answer questions about the company, themselves or pretty much anything. This was only about three questions in!
Unprofessional, sloppy and green. That's how I would rate this interview and process.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Horizon Hobby (Champaign, IL) in Aug 2012
Interview
Not very difficult. There were two interviews. One with the hiring manager and one with the group. A skills based test was also given. That was the hardest part of the process.
