I interviewed last year for a position as HRBP. I have over 11 years in HR Management and over 15 years in HR. The person in charge of setting up the interviews was very organized. I had to interview with recruiter over phone then was invited to interview onsite with 4 team members. The first 2 were great and then by 3rd interview was with the director. After the 2nd interview question she flat out told me I was not qualified for the position. I was shocked to hear that from a director. That is not HR best practice. I got through my last interview which went well and got to see the tour but by that time my hopes were squashed and I just really just wanted to get out of there. I am glad I had this experience. I would never want to work for a place where common sense HR best practices are ignored. I mean if I am not qualified fine, but have common decency to not waste a candidates time to go out there to interview if the candidate is not qualified and then say that right on the spot. I'd rather just had received a rejection email. I took a half day of vacation to do these interviews shows they don't care.
