It was by far the longest interviewing process I was ever a part of. It started when they contacted me on LinkedIn. I replied I was interested and got a phone call soon after. It was just a typical phone screening interview to see if I matched what they were looking for. I got a Skype interview with another person a few days later. Again, typical interview where she just wanted to know more about my background. She did ask me a few questions about the company to see if I had done my research. She told me at the end of the interview that I needed to check back with them in a month because there weren't any openings for the job at the time which I thought was odd. Why would you interview people for a position that isn't available? I didn't say anything because I thought they just wanted to get ahead in their interviewing process and not waste any time. I followed up a month later as I was told during the interview. They told me I needed to check back early 2017 since there were still no openings. I assumed it was their way of brushing off my application but still I followed up and still no luck. Four months after my first interview, I got an email from them telling me they would like to resume the interviewing process. I was pleasantly surprised. The next interview was a role play. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to use all the arguments I had prepared because she kept hitting me with the same objection 'I don't have time'. It seemed to me she really was trying to rush it and get it over with, not to mention she was half an hour late and didn't even apologize. Still, I passed. They contacted me for a fourth and final interview a week later. I got a really bad vibe from the first few minutes of the interview, she kept interrupting me complaining about some noise that wasn't even coming from my computer. i kept calm and went on with my answers. She asked me a bunch of questions about my background and where I saw myself in the future. Despite me sharing great enthusiasm for the job and the company, it still seemed somehow like she wasn't convinced as she kept trying to throw me off which made things a little uncomfortable for me but still I smiled and answered honestly to the best of my ability. It was clear to me she had made up her mind even before the interview began. I was really disappointed to find out I didn't get the job after hours and hours spent practicing and researching, especially since the interviewing process lasted four months. It was just a big waste of time and energy for me.. They should make their application process less nerve-racking for future applicants.
