I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Houzz (San Diego, CA) in Apr 2017
Interview
Was contacted on LinkedIn, had a quick initial phone interview which went well. They do want to know about involvement in HS and college. Just about all the questions people post on here are accurate. Than I had an in-person interview. It went fine, same questions but more in depth. The girl who interviewed me looked like she hated doing these interviews like she's done a hundred. Got called back for a final interview/roll play. This was done with one of the hiring managers. A little frustrating as the roll play involved an angry client and I have no experience with cold-calling. Afterwards she gave me feedback and than some more questions. I thought I did well but didn't get an offer. They say that his job requires no experience yet they test you in a way you're not trained to handle yet. Overall, average interview process. Not sure what they're looking for but if you make it to the roll-play, do your research and try to sound as enthusiastic as you can on the phone.
Initial phone screening was standard - asked about experience, motivations etc. However, questions dragged on for far longer than necessary and at the end, they said they would get back via email but never did.
