I applied online. I interviewed at Houzz (Irvine, CA) in May 2017
Interview
The hiring manager was 30 min late to both of our meetings. She was uninterested, kept looking around, talked through my resume and didn't really ask me pertinent questions of my time after college. By the end of the first interview, I wasn't too enthusiastic to continue with the process.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Houzz (Palo Alto, CA) in Jul 2019
Interview
It was failry quick, first round with HR and second was with one of the peers I suppose. HR was really responsive and kept me uptodate. You need to prepare for the SQL round very well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
HR was failry simple walking through my resume. The second round was a SQL focused round where you work on some questions on a shared screen with the interviewer. Questions were focused on what they're working on a day to day basis I think. You need to know windowing functions, aggregaations.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Houzz in May 2019
Interview
First round is phone tech interview. It about SQL and basic questions about A/B test. I only took the phone tech interview. But it took almost two weeks since the first two times. no one appeared. Overall, the last interviewer was very nice.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Houzz (Irvine, CA) in Aug 2018
Interview
I went through four interviews: 1) Phone - HR Recruiter 2) Onsite - two managers 3) Onsite - manager and director 4) Phone - Vice-President. Everybody was so friendly and pleasant to chat with. Stacey B. and Marisa F. in HR were very communicative and followed up with me after each interview to see how I was doing. They obviously understood that HR is the first impression of a company during an interview process and they made it such a wonderful experience
