I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Houzz (Irvine, CA) in Jul 2017
Interview
Interviewers seemed to want to know more about high school and college extracurricular experience rather than relevant post-grad professional experience. Don't be surprised if they ask for your W-2 for salary history. Interviewers largely failed to answer any of my questions, seems that they are trained to follow a script and know very little beyond that. They weren't willing to provide me with any feedback at any point throughout the entire interviewing process.
Met with recruiter then hiring manager and team lead manager I would be working with. Pretty fast overall process once they have reached out to you. Several quick questions about experience and then metrics into their company and what the role entails.
It was an efficient process. One phone interview with their recruiter and then an in person interview with a manager. Role playing was part of the interview process (the manager gave me a specific complaint and I had to resolve the customer’s problem).
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Houzz
Interview
Thorough but comfortable! I had multiple interviews, but everyone was very personable. They requested an at home typing speed test (to be completed after the first interview) and asked me to email the results to the recruiter.
