A brief recruiter call, then a technical phone interview. Technical interview was wrongly scheduled, in spite of a clearly specified schedule on my end.
More importantly, the technical interview was very shoddily executed. The interviewer was rude, mostly silent on their end, refused to give much clarification on my questions, and ended up cutting the interview short by 10 min or so (which in and of itself, not an issue, but this was very poorly done), saying, "Sorry, you're not a good fit for us." Isn't the recruiting/hiring coordinator supposed to say that in a separate email, much better worded?
Left feeling very negative, all in all. Not like haven't been rejected before, but this was in extremely poor taste.
Interviewers at Houzz for data science need to polish interviewing skills, or they need to use better interviewers. Will not reflect well on the company with such a shoddy execution.
