I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Houzz (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
I interviewed quite awhile ago but wanted to share my experience, as it was an overall pleasant and informative process. I spoke with a Recruiter via phone, followed by attending an event to learn more about the company and the AE role. I then had an in-person interview, a role play, and a final in-person interview. I really enjoyed all of my conversations with the recruiting team and managers. The process was highly organized, transparent, and I learned a lot. The expectations set were very realistic once I stepped into the role.

Question 1
How would I remain positive and even-keeled on tough days or in the face of adversity?
Great company to work for. They have a stringent hiring process. You will have multiple interviews followed by a presentation at the end. All in all they want to see if you understand their platform and user mentality. Big props if you show your personality or if you have a positive attitude it will go a long way. It was definitely gruelling but totally fair as the job itself is quit full on.

Why Houzz? Why sales? You don't seem like a salesperson.. (I don't). Very blunt but direct.
Houzz places a large emphasis on role playing in the interview process, both for external and internal roles. It's daunting in the moment but is actually good practice and gives interviewers a good sense of how you think on your feet
