I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Houzz in Apr 2015
Interview
The interview process is very extensive. Starts with a brief phone interview followed by an Open Houzz where you learn more about the position and meet with a manager in person. Next is a role play interview where you have to give a mock sales call. Then a final interview with a different manager to review your resume and background check once more. They focus A LOT on high school activities and accomplishments which can seem redundant especially if you are a college grad.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What activities did you do in high school? What was your first job? What was your high school GPA? What were some of the classes you took in high school? What activities were you involved with in college? Did you ever go on family vacations?
Phone screening, two in-person interviews. Very basic get-to-know-you kind of questions. They were interested in what you were like in high school. They used to have the philosophy that your high school performance dictated your professional performance. Not sure if this is still the case.
The interview process was lengthy and you have to go through a fair amount of interviews. There are basic question & answer interviews, and then there was a simulated customer experience interview as well.
