Here is a very detailed review for those thinking about applying/currently in the application process: I applied via Indeed.com. I was contacted by a recruiter a few days later. We scheduled a phone interview which she later her to reschedule. The phone "interview" was just a basic screening -- asked where I was from, where I went to high school, what my high school and college GPA were, what clubs I was involved in in both high school and college, if I graduated in 4 years, what I know about Houzz, why I want to work there, what interests me about the company, etc. The recruiter was also confused about what role I was applying for. At the end of the conversation, I was invited to their Open Houzz. I was immediately sent an email with further information about what to expect at the Open Houzz. The Open Houzz consisted of myself and about 7 others. It was an hour long PowerPoint presentation about the company and potential available roles within the company (where they also cover compensation). We were then brought out one by one by recruiters for 5 minute conversations that were the exact same as the phone screenings. A few days later, I was invited back via email for an Excel activity. You have about 20 minutes to complete it but it should really only take about 5 if you know what you're doing. You have to know how to use VLOOKUP between sheets, how to filter results, how to re-name items, etc. After that, I had a very short touch base "interview" with a team lead, where I was asked what I thought about the activity, what I thought about the process so far, if I would enjoy doing this every day. A couple days later, I was invited back again via email for a role play activity. Once I arrived, I was given a couple pieces of paper with instructions and brought back to one of their conference rooms. Basically, the role play was calling back a vendor that had one of their products go live on Houzz, but there were a bunch of mistakes. I had to go over these mistakes with the vendor, explain how to fix them and make future improvements. It lasted about 5 minutes. I then went on to shadow and employee immediately after the role play. Immediately following the shadowing, I had another touch base with the same team lead. Same questions. Finally, I received an email with an invitation to come back for a final interview. This last interview is the only one that I would classify as an actual interview. It was the first time I was asked situational questions, specific questions about previous work experiences, etc. Prior to this, all "interviews" were simple conversations with current employees. The final interview felt rushed (even though it lasted about an hour) as I was constantly being cut off by the interviewer. They also ran my background check but never called my references, which was a giveaway that I didn't get the job. After the interview, I was told that the team lead responsible for hiring was out of town for the next 2 weeks. It took 7 business days to receive a canned rejection letter. Overall, it was a positive experience even though it was a huge time waster( this could've been done in a week) and very unorganized. The people working there seem nice.

Phone interview was very brief. They wanted to know more about your history and background rather than you work experience it seemed like. They were very polite but interviewer could have had better questions to ask.

I received an email from a recruiter requesting to schedule an interview with me. We scheduled it for the following week & it was over the phone. It didn't last too long & she asked basic questions to just attain some general information about me, my experience, and my professional goals.
